Interior Designer

Interior designing involves designing homes/properties taking into account all furnishing, colour schemes, lighting and materials. Interior decoration is not interior design.

After your education, it is highly recommended to have one or two internships to learn the job as it is on the field as well as to show experience on your resume. This experience can be gained at different architectural firms, interior design companies, design studios, construction groups, public works department etc. Whether the internship is paid or not will depend upon the place from where one is doing internship.

  • National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad awards need-based scholarships to the deserving students with the support of Ford Foundation and Government of India.
  • CEPT University grants program scholarship as well.
  • ARCH Academy of Design have its own scholarship scheme.
  • TGC, New Delhi an ISO certified company offers scholarship program for talented and economically challenged students who are extremely passionate about Art and Design.
